About The Role
Job Title: Instructional Designer  
Location: Remote based in Portugal or Ireland (May need to travel overseas occasionally) 
Terms:      Permanent Contract / Full-Time 40h weekly 
Schedule: Monday to Friday – 12 midday to 8.30pm daily (negotiable) 

We are seeking an Instructional Designer with 3-5 years of experience to support our partner OURA and help the Member Experience (MX) Education team develop training interventions. In this role, you will support the design, development, and evaluation of asynchronous and instructor led training (ILT) experiences. You will leverage your understanding of instructional design principles and your proficiency with various eLearning authoring tools to create high-quality training solutions that meet the needs of our learners. 

This is a permanent work from home position based in Ireland or Portugal. 

ABOUT THE TEAM 
 
The successful candidate will be supporting a team providing customer support for our amazing partner, Oura Health, makers of the renowned Oura Ring. The Oura Ring is a smart ring used by over 1 million people globally to track the likes of stress, illness detection, women’s health, heart rate and more. 
 
 
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING 
 
As an Instructional Designer you will 
  • Collaborate with L&D Program Managers and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify learning objectives, analyze target audiences, and define content requirements for various training initiatives
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) to create engaging and effective learning solutions, primarily for asynchronous and instructor led delivery
  • Design and develop a variety of asynchronous learning materials, including but not limited to:
  • Interactive eLearning modules (SCORM/xAPI compliant)
  • Video scripts and storyboards
  • Job aids and performance support tools
  • Quizzes, assessments, and activities
  • Online resources and documentation
  • Utilize eLearning authoring tools to build and publish interactive learning content
  • Ensure all learning content is clear, concise, accurate, accessible, and aligned with our clients brand guidelines
  • Incorporate multimedia elements (graphics, audio, video) to enhance the learning experience
  • Conduct reviews of developed materials to ensure functionality, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements based on feedback and data
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project plans



Your profile
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: 
  • 3-5 years of demonstrable experience in instructional design and curriculum development
  • Proven experience developing engaging and interactive eLearning modules. Candidates should be able to share a sample of work (e.g., eLearning, ILT, storyboard)
  • Proficiency with at least one major eLearning authoring tool (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate)
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design theories, and learning methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into easily digestible content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with ability to work as needed with US friendly time zones
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and course publishing
  • Flexible and available for occasional international travel
