Business Analyst (Remote in Portugal)

About The Role

We’re looking for a Business Analyst to join the Otonomee team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of BA experience who’s ready to take ownership of their work end-to-end, while still having the support of a collaborative team around them. 

In this role, you’ll gather, document, and validate requirements, turning them into clear process flows, user stories, and functional specifications. You’ll actively map and analyse existing processes, identify gaps and pain points all while supporting new client onboardings and contributing to broader transformation initiatives across the business.  

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure requirements are clear, well-documented, and fully traceable. Reporting to the Transformation Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving consistency and efficiency in how we support the business. 

This is a permanent work from home position based in Portugal. 


What you'll be doing;
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Map, analyse and maintain business processes, workflows, and any other relevant material.
  • You will continuously analyse pain points to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes and new initiatives.
  • Support new client onboardings, internal projects, internal teams, and broader initiatives to ensure smooth delivery of business solutions.
  • Produce reports summarising business analysis findings, outcomes, and final project wrap-up activities.
  • Drive consistency and efficiency in how requirements are captured, documented, and communicated.
  • Collaborate closely with the Transformation Manager and business leaders to maintain visibility and alignment across initiatives.
  • Promote consistency in documentation, reporting, and analysis practices.
  • Support testing and validation for new processes and system enhancements.
  • Contribute to defining and improving BA best practices across the organisation.

 



Your profile

ABOUT YOU 

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes: 

  • 2–3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, or CX-focused organizations desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of requirements gathering techniques and business process modeling.
  • Proficiency with analysis and collaboration tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, Visio, PowerBI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Business analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) desirable.
  • Strong communication to effectively communicate across the business and with technical teams.
  • Ability to break down complex requirements into actionable deliverables.
  • Ability to take ownership, work independently, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Comfortable mapping and analysing business processes, workflows, and identifying pain points for improvement.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to contribute to shaping BA best practices.
